Yoga Nidra or “Yogic Sleep” is a gentle guided meditation practice that has been used for thousands of years as a process of awakening to ones ‘true self’. Yoga Nidra gives the experience that our inner core is stress free and that unshakable inner peace and joy really exist within us. It can help us to see that our thoughts, feelings, and emotions are temporary. It can boost the immune system, reduce pain, be used to control the heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, metabolism, body temp and brain waves.
It is recommended that students bring an eye pillow, water bottle, socks and extra layers to cover with.
